Adrian's Journey

I started working at a resort when I was 14 and liked the industry. I found an interest in Revenue Management and took the opportunity at The Collins College to help me get my current role by taking internships and extra classes.

In the Spotlight

How did a Collins College Degree help you in your career?

What do you love about working in Hospitality?

How would you convince someone that the field of hospitality management is for them?

Share a fun fact about yourself.

The Collins College provided a variety of opportunities for me, like career expos, company showcases, [and] extracurricular activities connecting with alumni, [as well as] having relevant coursework that applies to current industry trends. I felt prepared to tackle the professional post-grad life by taking advantage of everything the school had to offer.

I love working in a dynamic work environment, where every day is different, even with the same tasks! Also, everyone that I've worked with is friendly and collaborative.

I think studying Hospitality give a variety of career opportunities since there is a lot of transferable skills that can be learned. It's also versatile in the sense that you can still apply to role outside of operations in hotels or restaurants (ex. Sales, Revenue, Supply Chain, etc.)

I've moved around a lot and have lived in 4 different countries!
